Dog House is home to twenty-eight rescued dogs, a pig, a cat, two bunnies and a few roosters and hens. They're permanent residents of Dog House and form the extra-large Dog House family. The income we generate from boarding your pet dogs supports the well-being of our rescued pets. In this section, you will read about each member of the Dog House family.
Casper was dumped as a pup on the streets of Nanganallur, Chennai, when Keerthi found him and adopted him. He is a Kombai mix and a true gentle giant. He's a Velcro dog who loves outings with his mama and snuggling in bed with her. He's one of the most senior dogs at Dog House.
Prince was about four months' old when someone dumped him on the streets. He was one of the worst rescue cases every seen. He was completely bald, sore and bleeding from severe mange. He had weak hind legs and tick fever. A long recovery later, he became his mom's darling. His irresistible good looks earned him the name "Prince".
Mikey was about five months' old when someone dumped him on the streets, with a collar on. He struggled to survive, didn't trust people and had a skin infection. His honey eyes captivated Keerthi. He eventually made friends with her and became her very own Mikey. Mikey loves long walks and travelling. He's one of the most handsome boys around.
They're the bedridden sisters. They almost never leave the bed and the couch. These sisters were rescued from a construction site in Thoraipakkam after their mother died, leaving them orphaned. People wanted to get rid of the puppies. Keerthi tried to find them families but had no luck. And that's how they became part of the Dog House family.
Cupcake is Dog House's "magic dog". She was a tiny pup when Keerthi picked her up from the streets. Cupcake was later adopted into a loving family living in Vyasarpadi. A few months later, during Diwali, she ran away from her home. Despite searching the streets for over a month, Keerthi failed to find Cupcake. Then, one day, Cupcake sudde
Cupcake is Dog House's "magic dog". She was a tiny pup when Keerthi picked her up from the streets. Cupcake was later adopted into a loving family living in Vyasarpadi. A few months later, during Diwali, she ran away from her home. Despite searching the streets for over a month, Keerthi failed to find Cupcake. Then, one day, Cupcake suddenly appeared in Keerthi's home in Kolathur, where she had been fostered. The world will never know how this little dog found her way back.
Kezhavi is the most senior resident of Dog House. She was rescued from the vicinity of Dog House after she was run over by a car. She was found wailing in the middle of a busy road, unable to stand up. Not only did she begin to walk a few weeks later but she won many more battles later on, including Pyometra. A true survivor and tough nut. She loves her bed and her cozy corner.

Keerthi found a semi-conscious pup, barely 45 days' old, on a hot pavement. She thought he was dead but he stirred when she patted him. He was dehydrated and just waiting for death. He blossomed quickly after being rescued.
Angel and Veera are paraplegic dogs. They were road accident victims whom Keerthi adopted and has now lovingly raised for over seven years. Angel and Veera are champion swimmers. They love and enjoy the outdoors as much as any other dog. They're an inspiration.
Gundoo is the largest dog in the Dog House family, in terms of size. A mixed breed of some sort who loves people but can be menacing to other dogs. Gundoo was rescued from the streets as a pup and later adopted by a family. They returned him to Keerthi in a few months. Gundoo suffers from an auto-immune disorder that upsets his skin. He r

Gundoo was rescued from the streets as a pup and later adopted by a family. They returned him to Keerthi in a few months. Gundoo suffers from an auto-immune disorder that upsets his skin. He remains under long-term treatment. He has a tiny girlfriend named Clove. She's literally the only dog he likes.
